KTP 590X single-sided rotary press from Romaco Kilian for mono- and bi-layer mode
The cool – fast – clean KTP 590X single-sided rotary press from Romaco Kilian is designed to manufacture both mono-layer and bi-layer tablets. Up to three pairs of compression rollers allow the changeover between mono-layer and bi-layer mode without time-consuming conversion of the compression stations. With its three separate compression stations, this single-sided rotary press is also perfect for manufacturing effervescent tablets. Furthermore, the paddle force fill shoe was specifically designed for homogeneous tableting of poorly flowing or sticky powders. The temperature in the compaction area is kept at a constant level below 30°C, which is why the KTP 590X is also very suitable for compressing temperature-sensitive products such as Metformin. The dwell time is significantly longer due to the use of Kilian 28/41 tooling, meaning harder tablets can be produced. Patented brake magnets and punch bellows moreover result in lower maintenance costs and higher product quality.
